Voyager
A while back I started playing about with Blurb – I’d thrown together some photo books before (take two small children, photograph liberally and produce a photobook every christmas for the grandparents for a popular gift – we don’t talk about the year I missed the order window and the books didn’t arrive until the new year…) but haven’t really tried it with a more adult topic.
Between that, browsing through my “archives” (from April, not exactly the distant past) I found myself wondering about the shoot with ChrissieRed in particular – after a bit of experimentation, frustration (the Blurb software appears to crash at random intervals and “forget” the last twenty or so pages that you’ve added into it) I’ve got my first effort prepared at Blurb.
Obviously, I’d love for people to pick up a copy – I need to work out how I’m going to pay for the next shoot with Chrissie somehow or other (and I really do want to get that sorted as soon as possible) – but I’m also very keen to find new (at least for me) ways to share the adventure because let’s be honest here, Chrissie is the awesomeness here, and if I can capture and communicate even a little bit of that awesome then, and only then am I doing my job as a “photographer”.
